 Meditatio: "Jesus said to Nicodemus,  “‘You must be born from above. " Jn. 3.7
 Oratio: O God, You gave us immortality through Baptism.

 I remember Jesus declared that through Baptism we are born again . Pray to live your Baptismal birth .

 I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
 and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

 Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying to you.

 Operatio: reflect:"must... born ...above "; Baptism is how we are born from above.  Seek the grace to love in accord with our Baptismal DNA.

 Meditatio: "Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I sent receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me." Jn 13.20

 Oratio: O God, You bestowed great dignity on Jesus' disciples .

 I remember Jesus declared that to welcome His disciples is to welcome Him and the Father. Pray to make Jesus and the Father present through my lowliness so others will come to believe.

 I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
 and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

 Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying to you.

 Operatio: reflect: "receives me...one...sent me"; Jesus made the reception of His disciples the reception of Zeus Father.  Seek the grace to humbly and respectfully reflect Jesus and the Father to those whose lives I touch.

 Meditatio: "Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’.”” Jn l4.6 

Oratio: O God, You have provided us a sure way to You.                                     

 I remember Jesus is that sure way for He declared that He is the way, the truth and the life. Pray that I may always believe in Jesus for with out a way there is no going, without the truth, there is no knowing and without life, there is no living.                   

 I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
 and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

 Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying to you.

 Operatio: reflect: "I...way...truth...life”; what a wonderful gift the Father gave us in Jesus for it is through and with Him that we come to the Father; and Jesus’ ways are not burdensome; it is the way of Love. Seek the grace to love always and then do what I will and Jesus will lead me home.

 Meditatio: "Jesus answered them, ‘I told you and you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify to me’.” Jn l0.25

Oratio: O God, You so much wanted all to believe.                                          

 I remember Jesus worked many miracles so that people would believe but sadly some were hard of heart and others only concerned with their power to their detriment. Pray that I may be ever open to the Word and do His will for my good and the good of the people I serve.

 I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
 and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

 Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying to you.

 Operatio: reflect: "works...do...testify...me”; do you ever \wonder why the religious leaders rejected Jesus?  I find in incredible that they did in the light of the many and varied miracles He worked. But they did even though it seems obvious that they should have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Seek the grace to be open to the ways of God and readily accept His works.

 Lectio    Jn 10.1-10                                                                

 Meditatio: "I am the gate. Whoever enters through the gate will be saved, and I will come in and go out and find pasture.” Jn l0.0.

Oratio: O God, You gave complete authority to Your Son in His mission of salvation.

 I remember Jesus was not only our Good Shepherd but He is the gate that we must pass through to enter the kingdom and He opens the Gate to all who believe for He so much wants all to be saved.. Pray for the gift of faith and show your acceptance of it by living in accord with the Great Law of Love.

 Operatio: reflect: "gate...enters...saved”; Jesus as the gate to Heaven allows all to enter and be saved who believe in Him. Seek the grace to accept the teachings of Jesus and put them into practice and He will allow you to enter the Kingdom through His gate.

 Lectio    Jn 10.11-18                              

 Meditatio: "I am the good shepherd, A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.  A hired man, who is not a shepherd and whose sheep are not his own, sees a wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs away, and the wolf catches and scatters them.” Jn 10.11-12

Oratio: O God, You have appointed shepherds to take care for us but some shepherds only take care of themselves.

 I remember Jesus castigated the Pharisees and the Scribes for not shepherding the people but only acting as hired hands; and when trouble brewed,  they fled leaving their sheep without protection . Pray that I may always put the needs of those whom I serve ahead of mine for that is the essence of anyone who is called to serve.

 Operatio: reflect: "shepherd lays....life....hired man....runs away”; all who teach, preach and lead in the church are called to be good shepherds acting for the good of the flock and not for one’s own good Seek the grace to always encourage, nurture and give love to those whom I am called to serve - in short emulate my mother for she certainly  showed forth what a good shepherd is.

 Lectio  Mk 16.15-20                   

 Meditatio: "He said to them, ‘Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature’.” Mk 16.15

Oratio: O God, All are precious to You.

 I remember Jesus commissioned His disciple to go out to the whole world and proclaim the Good News so that all who believe will be saved. And they did and we are the beneficiaries of their work. Pray to be   a good instrument of the Good News to those whose lives you touch.

 I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
 and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

 Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying to you.

 Operatio: reflect:"Go....world,...proclaim”; Jesus included all as the beneficiaries of the Good News. Seek the grace to continue the Good News by the lives lived in accordance with the Gospel and Jesus will be praised..

 Lectio: Jn 6.52-59

 Meditatio: "This is the bread that came down from heaven.  Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever." Jn 6.58

 Oratio: O God, You gave us the medicine of immortality  as opined by the early Fathers of the Church.

 I remember Jesus declared that He is the Eucharistic Bread and whoever eats it, will live forever. Pray to become what you eat - Christ for others, and we will live for ever.

 I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
 and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

 Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying to you.

 Operatio: reflect:"eats...live forever"; Jesus said that He is the bread that came down from heaven and we will live forever if we eat this bread - the Eucharist.  Seek the grace to receive the Eucharist worthily and frequently so as to be filled with the life of Christ and be Christ for others so that they, too, will come to know Him and be blest by Him.

 Lectio:  Jn 6.30-35                                                                       

 Meditatio: "Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; whoever come to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst’.” Jn 6.35                                      

 Oratio: O God, how Your Son took such great care of us!                                      

 I remember that He promised to feed us with His very self and give us life without hunger or thirst. He would do it at a great cost to Him - His life and through the Eucharist. Pray to always receive this great sacrament worthily so that the effects Jesus wants for all of us, will come to be.

 I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
 and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

 Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying.

Operatio:  reflect:"I...bread of life”; Jesus is the bread of life; He is the source of eternal life; He gives us this bread in the Eucharist. Seek the grace to receive the Eucharist frequently and live what I eat and believe in Jesus so that His mission will be successful and our ending will be more than we could ever hope.
