Lectio - Mk 16.15-18
Oratio: "He said to them, ‘God into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature’.” Mk 16.15
Meditatio: " O God, you desire all to be saved. I remember Jesus commissioned his disciples to proclaim the gospel to all the nations. Grant that I may do my part and proclaim the good news to those whose lives I touch so that they one day may rejoice with you. I ask this of you, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”
Contemplatio – Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

- I was ordained for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on May 15, 1993. I am a widower with 8 children and 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. On July 1, 2014 I began my residence at St Mathew Parish in Philadelphia, PA. My last assignment was pastor of St.Elizabeth Ann Seton in Bensalem, PA since November of 1999. I publish daily my Lectio Divina efforts via a group email. I will publish such efforts from time to time to this site as well as other pertinent info about the Good News of Jesus Christ or issues which are contrary to the Good News. What is Lectio Divina? Lectio Divina is the Study of and Meditation on Sacred Scripture. The steps include: Reading (Lectio),- Pondering (Meditatio); Praying (Oratio) and Silence(Contemplatio). I use the daily Lectionary as the source of readings.
