Lectio - Jn 7.40-53

Meditatio: “So a division occurred in the crowd because of him.” Jn 7.43

Oratio: "O God, in your wisdom you foresaw the need to have a Vicar of Your Son.

I remember when Your Son was here on earth, those who saw him were divided as to He was - making it clear that knowledge of You and Your ways cannot be left to a democratic way.

Grant that I may always be grateful for Your establishing Your church on earth to guide us in everlasting ways.

I ask this of you, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will pray for the Pope that he will always be open to the Holy Spirit and guide us in the ways of peace, justice and love.
