Lectio: Acts 19.1-8
Medtitatio: “ when they [ 12 men in Ephesus] heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.” Acts 19.5
Oratio: "O God, how wonderfully have provided for those who believe in Your Son!
I remember that baptism in the name of Your Son bestows upon the recipient Your Holy Spirit.
Grant that I may be ever grateful for the divine life that was poured into me at my baptism and for the Apostle Paul for revealing this gift s clearly to the 12 believers at Ephesus.
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.
Amen.”
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: reflect "Baptism”; a sacrament; pouring of the water and using the Trinitarian formula;; effects - original sin and all personal sin up to the time of baptism are forgiven and most importantly we have divine life and become God’s children; in prayer thank God for bestowing upon us the gift of His Spirit; may we always live as children of God and do His will.
Tomorrow’s reading: Acts 20.17-27
