Lectio Jn 1.47-51
Meditatio: "Jesus saw Nathaniel coming toward him and said of him, ‘Here is a true Israelite. There is no duplicity in him’.” Jn 1.47
Oratio: O God, how You want us to be people of integrity. .
I remember Jesus praised Nathaniel for being a man in whom no duplicity is found. In prayer seek the grace to be a true child of God and reflect integrity in all in that I do for that is what is meant to be a child of God.
I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
God is saying to you.
Operatio: reflect: "Nathaniel....true....no duplicity”; duplicity means: trick, deception, dishonesty. The opposite is ‘integrity.’ Integrity is is what Jesus admired in Nathaniel and what He wants all His siblings to have for that is what is meant to be a true child of God, a true brother or sister of His.. In prayer seek the grace to one in whom no duplicity is found.
