7.24.12
Lectio: 2 Cor 4.7-15
Meditatio: "But we hold this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing power may be of God and not from us.” 2 Cor 4.7
Oratio: " O God, You choose the weak so that we might be open to the Good News.
I remember the Apostle, Paul, declared that the treasure of the Good News was held in earthen vessels - powerless men - but You power at work in them.
Grant that I may be always open to the Good News no matter how it is proclaimed for You, in Your wisdom, have chosen the weak to spread it.
I ask this an all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: reflect on "earthen vessels”; perishable, men and women missionaries; in prayer thank God for using the weak to spread the Good News for we would certainly have feared it and not be open to it, if Your angels proclaimed it. .
Tomorrow's reading: Jer 2.1-3,7-8,12-13
