Lectio: Lk 5.27-32
“After this he went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the custom post. He said to him, ‘Follow me’.” Lk 5.27
Oratio: O God, Your ways are not our ways.
I remember Levi did not discern His vocation. Rather Your Son simply issued a command to follow Him and to Levi’s great credit and our surprise, Levi left his role as a tax collector and followed Jesus all his days. In prayer seek to know God’s will and then do it for that is our ultimata vocation in life.
I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
God is saying to you.
Operatio: reflect:"Levi...follow me”; seek the grace to follow Jesus no matter one’s state in life and this will redound to a wonderful life and a great ending - home with the Lord forever.
Tomorrow's reading: Mk 1.12-15
