Lectio: Mt 15.21-28
Meditatio: “She said, ‘Please, Lord, even the dogs eat the scraps that fall from the table of their master’s’.” Mt 15.27
Oratio: O God, what faith the Canaanite woman displayed when she bantered with Jesus over His assertion that if He healed her daughter, she would be taking food of the children! Pray for a strong faith, a gift we do not deserve, but a gift that is so wonderful to live by.
I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You.
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what God speaks to you,
Operatio: reflect: "Lord...dogs eat....scraps...table”; The woman of the Gospel put herself down for the sake of her daughter; and Jesus raised both up in the eyes of all. Seek the grace of a lively faith and a joyful one and you will be greatly blest.
Tomorrow's reading:Mk 9,2-10
