Lectio: Mt 15. 1-2, 10-14
O God, You do not want a ‘show and tell’ to demonstrate who we are for You; but a heart that tells of our love for You.
I remember Jesus condemned the Pharisees’ teaching of holding to the tradition of external practices of piety rather than the interior disposition of a person.
Grant that what comes out of me reflects an authentic response to who I am called to be - Your child.
I ask this of You who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.
Operatio: Reflect on how well I guard my thoughts, my words, my actions so that reflect what God wants me be. Pray for the grace to be an authentic person.

- I was ordained for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on May 15, 1993. I am a widower with 8 children and 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. I will publish such efforts from time to time to this site as well as other pertinent info about the Good News of Jesus Christ or issues which are contrary to the Good News. What is Lectio Divina? Lectio Divina is the Study of and Meditation on Sacred Scripture. The steps include: Reading (Lectio),- Pondering (Meditatio); Praying (Oratio) and Silence(Contemplatio). I use the daily Lectionary as the source of readings.
