1.16.15
Lectio: Mk 2.13-17
Meditatio: "As he passed by, he saw Levi, son of Alphaeus, sitting at the custom post. He said to him, ‘Follow me’. And he got up and followed him.” Mk 2.14
Oratio: O God, Your will is both mysterious but so gracious.
I remember Jesus picked a tax collector, a person despised by the people, to be one of His closest disciples. He illustrated by His selection, that those, whom the world considers unworthy, are often the very ones in the eyes of God who can serve and do serve Him well. In prayer seek the grace to follow Jesus wherever it may lead me, for to so is why I am here, and where I will find my true role in life.
I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
God is saying to you.
Operatio: reflect:"Levi...Follow me....and followed"; we all are called by God to serve Him; but the issue is: Do we listen and respond. Seek the grace of a discerning heart so as to d discover God’s will and then to do it.
