8.03.12
Lectio: Jer 26.11-16,24
Meditatio: "Now therefore, reform your ways and your deeds; listen to the voice of the Lord your God, so that the Lord will repent of the evil with which he threatens you.” Jer 26.13
Oratio: " O God, ‘repent’ is Your clarion call to us.
I remember Your prophet, Jeremiah called Your chosen people to repent of their deeds and ways so that You would not punish them.
Grant that I may heed Your call to repent and whenever I fail in thought, word or deed, to immediately seek Your forgiveness.
I ask this an all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: reflect on "repent”; to change, to turn around; in prayer ask for the grace to recognize when I have failed the Lord and the grace to immediately turn back to Him with a good act of contrition and a good confession, too.
Tomorrow's reading: Ex 16.2-4,12-15
