Lectio: Ex 16.2-4,12-15 Meditatio: "Here in the desert the whole Israelite community grumbled against Moses and Aaron.” Ex 16.2
Oratio: " O God, we are often very near sighted and concerned only with the present moment.
I remember the whole Israelite community, fresh from crossing the Red Sea without getting their feet wet and escaping the Egyptian Army, began to grumble because they had nothing to eat - how forgetful and ungrateful they acted.
Grant that I may always thank God each day for the many gifts He gives me and especially the gifts of friends, life and love.
I ask this an all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: reflect on "grumbled”’ discontented; murmuring; in prayer ask for the grace of a grateful heart and to thank God for His goodness and His loving care of me.
Tomorrow's reading: Dn 7.9-10,13-14
