 Lectio: Mt 9.32-38

Meditatio: “At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved to pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep with out a shepherd.” Mt 9.36

Oratio: O God, Your Son revealed a most wonderful trait - that our God is a compassionate God; One who cares for us because of our neediness and not because of what we do for Him. Pray to emulate this character trait of God and always act with compassion towards others.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence & meditate on the selected passage and hear what  God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: “crowds...heart...moved...pity”; Jesus saw the crowd was leaderless and drifting and so He reached out to them for their sake and became the shepherd to all who would allow Him. Seek the grace of a kind and sympathetic heart so that the lives of others will be a little better because of me and I will be a little better in the eyes of God.

Tomorrow's reading:Mt 10.1-7
