Lectio: :Mt 20.17-28

Meditatio: "Just so, the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many." mt 20.28

Oratio: "O God, You know that good example is so powerful!

I remember Your Son through His life, passion and death showed us the path to greatness - serving the needs of others.

Grant that I may aspire to true greatness and be a willing servant in the model of Your Son.

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the

Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: reflect on "ransom"; to pay for; to make retribution; to buy back; in prayer thank Jesus for His great sacrifice in which He offered Himself up to a death on the cross for our salvation; and seek the grace to show my gratitude by humble service to those whose lives I touch.
