Lectio - Mk 4.35-41
Oratio: "He woke up, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Quiet! Be still!’ The wind ceased and the there was a great calm.” Mk 4.39
Meditatio: " O God, you are all-powerful. I remember Jesus commanded the wind and sea to be still, and calm replaced a squall on Lake Galilee. Grant that I may always turn to you with faith in times of turmoil knowing you will be there for me and will see me through. I ask this of you, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”
Contemplatio – Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

- I was ordained for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on May 15, 1993. I am a widower with 8 children and 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. I will publish such efforts from time to time to this site as well as other pertinent info about the Good News of Jesus Christ or issues which are contrary to the Good News. What is Lectio Divina? Lectio Divina is the Study of and Meditation on Sacred Scripture. The steps include: Reading (Lectio),- Pondering (Meditatio); Praying (Oratio) and Silence(Contemplatio). I use the daily Lectionary as the source of readings.
