Lectio -Jn 20.24-29

Meditatio: “Jesus said to him (Thomas), ‘Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed’.” Jn 20.29

Oratio: "O God, You know how hard it is for us to have faith for we always want to be in control.

I remember Jesus had to appear to Thomas and invite him to probe His wounds to that Thomas would believe and utter that beautiful exclamation of faith, ‘My Lord and My God.’

Grant that I may willingly accept the truths proclaimed by the Catholic Church for it is Your Spirit which guides and guards it and guarantees its infallibility.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will examine the foundations of my faith and offer a prayer of thanksgiving for the gift faith is for me.

Tomorrow’s selection is from LK 10. 1-12, 17-20
