Lectio -Lk 10.1-12,17-20
Meditatio: “‘Cure the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God is at hand for you’.”
Lk 10.9
Oratio: "O God, You desire all to be part of Your kingdom.
I remember Jesus sent missionaries out to spread the good news that Your kingdom was at hand and gave them the power to cure people so that they would readily accept the good news.
Grant that more and more people will accept the good news an live lives which reflect Your will.
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Today, I will examine whether I am doing my part to spread the good news especially by the life I am living.

- I was ordained for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on May 15, 1993. I am a widower with 8 children and 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. On July 1, 2014 I began my residence at St Mathew Parish in Philadelphia, PA. My last assignment was pastor of St.Elizabeth Ann Seton in Bensalem, PA since November of 1999. I have created this Blog in response to Pope Benedict XVI's recommendation that Priest use modern means of communications to reach out to people with the Good News. I publish daily my Lectio Divina efforts via a group email. I will publish such efforts from time to time to this site as well as other pertinent info about the Good News of Jesus Christ or issues which are contrary to the Good News. What is Lectio Divina? Lectio Divina is the Study of and Meditation on Sacred Scripture. The steps include: Reading (Lectio),- Pondering (Meditatio); Praying (Oratio) and Silence(Contemplatio). I use the daily Lectionary as the source of readings.
