6/02/12 Lectio: Dt 4.32-24, 39-40 Medtitatio: “This is why you must know, and fix in your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on earth below, and that there is no other.” Dt 4.39 Oratio:"O God, You know that left to our own we would not easily find You - so You intervened in our history. I remember Moses enjoined on Your chosen people to fix their hearts on the great things You did for them and know that You are God and there is no other. Grant that I may be ever grateful for the great things You continuously do for us so that we would know and love You and especially for the gift of Your Son in the Eucharist. I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.” Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes. Operatio: Reflect on "fix in your heart”; treasure; defines who you are; your orientation; in prayer thank God for making Himself easily known so that we can give Him the praise and worship and love which He desires and deserves and then live the life that He wants of us.
