Lectio - Jn 20.19-31

Meditatio: “Jesus said to him (Thomas), ‘Have you come to believe because you have seen? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed’.” Jn 20.29

Oratio: "O God, how mysterious your ways.

I remember that Jesus praised and declared blessed those who have not seen Him and believed. Yet we think that those who saw Jesus are certainly more blessed than those who did not see Jesus.

Grant that the words of Scripture and the Eucharist may continue to strengthen my faith that Jesus is the Messiah and my Lord and lasting refuge.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will rejoice in my gift of faith.
