Lectio - Jn 6.60-69

Meditatio: “We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God.” Jn 6.69

Oratio: "O God, no one comes to you unless you grant it.

I remember many of Jesus’ early disciples no longer walked with Him when he declared he was the Bread of Life and that they must eat and drink of His body and blood. Yet Peter and a smaller number were convinced that Your Son was the Holy One of God. Why? Because you granted them faith.

Grant that I may nourish the faith which You have given to me less this great gift be of no avail to me.

I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Today, I will reflect on my faith and what convinces me that Jesus is the Holy One of God.

Tomorrow’s selection is from Jn 10.27-30
