Lectio - Jn 6.52-59
Meditatio: “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.”Jn 6.54
Oratio: "O God, you most graciously provide us with eternal life in this life.
I remember Jesus proclaimed at Capernaum that anyone who partakes of the Eucharist has eternal life. How little is required of us for such a great gift!
Grant that I may receive the Eucharist with belief in Your Son and live this life as a faithful child of Yours.
I ask this of You, who lives and reigns with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever. Amen.”
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Today, when I receive the Eucharist, I will reflect on one of the great gifts that I am also given - eternal life.
Tomorrow’s selection is from Jn 6.60-69
