Lectio: Is 49.1-6
Meditatio: “Yet my reward is with the Lord, my recompense with my God.” Is 49.4b
Oratio:"O God, all You want is Your people to turn to You and serve You.
I remember for this great privilege of serving You, You reward us with life without end - how super generous of You!
Grant that I may serve You always with love and devotion.
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Reflect on " recompense;” reward, consideration; a benefit for a benefit; in prayer thank God for His generosity and for not making this life the end, but a transition to eternal life with Him.

- I was ordained for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on May 15, 1993. I am a widower with 8 children and 24 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. On July 1, 2014 I began my residence at St Mathew Parish in Philadelphia, PA. My last assignment was pastor of St.Elizabeth Ann Seton in Bensalem, PA since November of 1999. I have created this Blog in response to Pope Benedict XVI's recommendation that Priest use modern means of communications to reach out to people with the Good News. I publish daily my Lectio Divina efforts via a group email. I will publish such efforts from time to time to this site as well as other pertinent info about the Good News of Jesus Christ or issues which are contrary to the Good News. What is Lectio Divina? Lectio Divina is the Study of and Meditation on Sacred Scripture. The steps include: Reading (Lectio),- Pondering (Meditatio); Praying (Oratio) and Silence(Contemplatio). I use the daily Lectionary as the source of readings.
