10.10.14

10.10.14

Lectio: Lk 11.27-28

Meditatio: "He replied, ‘Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it’.” Lk 17.28

Oratio: O God, You made it so easy for us to achieve true blessedness.

I remember Jesus declared those who hear and put His words into practice are  blessed making it clear that a relationship based on an active faith is better than a being blest because  pf  as a biological connection with Him. In prayer seek to be an active listener to Jesus’ words so that we, too, will be blest and be with Him and His mother for all eternity.                                             .

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect:"blessed....hear...observe”; hearing the word of God and putting into practice bestows on us a state of blessedness that is as good as a biological connection with Him. Indeed as a result of patting His words into practice we become His siblings through Baptism. In prayer seek the grace to live as his sibling so that one day we will be blest for we will be united with Him and His mother forever.

Tomorrow's reading: Mt 22.1-14
