10.29.14

Lectio:Lk 13.31-35

Meditatio: "At that time some Pharisees came to him and said, ‘Go  away, leave this area because Herod wants to kill you’.” Lk 13.31

Oratio: O God, how misguided and foolish we are!

I remember Herod wanted to kill Jesus - how foolish! And it was, surprisingly, some Pharisees who warned Jesus showing even our enemies can become our friends. In prayer judge not, so that you will not be judged for the Lord is kind and merciful and He wants us to be the same

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditated  on the selected passage and hear what
God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: "Go...leave...Herod...kill you”; the Pharisees who for the most part were antagonistic towards Jesus in the end warn Him to leave the area because Herod desired to kill Him/ Seek the grave to help those in need even if they are not of ths same persuasion. In short be Christ-like
.for that is the best way to honor the Lord,

Tomorrow's reading: Lk 14.1-6
