Jn 15.18-21

Meditatio: “If the world hates you, realize it hated me first.” Jn 15.18

Oratio: "O God, You never promised that this life would be easy - yet You did provide a wonderful remedy - Your Son.

I remember Jesus declared that we would experience hatred for following Him.

Grant that I may imitate Jesus and respond to hatred with love as that is the most effective way of dealing with hatred.
                  
 I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the  Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

 Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Reflect:  "hates”; despises; looks down upon the other; treating the other as if they were dirt; in prayer seek the grace to love those who hate me for that is the best way of saying thanks to Jesus for all He has and continues to do for me.
