5/06/13: Jn 16.5-11                                           

Meditatio: “But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go. For if I do not go, the Advocate will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.” Jn 16.7

Oratio: "O God, how wonderfully You provide for us.

I remember after You sent Your Son as one of us and it was time for Him to return to You, You had Him send the Holy Spirit to be Your continuing presence to us. .

Grant that I may be ever mindful of Your presence and allow the Holy Spirit to enlighten me, strengthen me, guide me and guard in ways that are everlasting.
                  
 I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the  Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

 Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Reflect:  "Advocate”; the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity; God’s presence in the world; seek the grace to always pray: “Come Holy Ghost, creator blest, and in our hearts take up thy rest. Come with thy grace and heavenly aid to fill the hearts which thou has made.” And then allow the Holy Spirit to have full sway in my life.
