5/10/13: Jn 16.23b–28
Meditatio: “For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have come to believe that I came from God.” Jn 16.27
Oratio: "O God, wonderfully You are a God who has drawn close to us and not an impersonal God.
I remember Jesus declared that You love us as the Father - one can’t ask for a greater relationship than that of love.
Grant that I may cherish Your love and respond as a loving child to Your wishes.
I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Reflect: “love”; precious; cherish, a great affection for another, amore, agape; in prayer thank God for loving us so and ask for the grace to respond with love to Him and to those whose lives we touch in His name.
