3.03.14

Lectio: Mk 10.28-31

Meditatio: ”Peter began to say to him [Jesus], ‘We have given up everything and followed you’.” Mk 10.28

Oratio: O God, You have given us everything but when we give you something, we expect more.

I remember Peter told Jesus about their giving up everything and followed Him and Peter wanted to know what was in it for them.

Grant that I may realize all the good things You have given me without any merit on my part - my life, my faith, eternal life; and seek to serve You without any expectation of reward but simply out of gratitude for all You have done for us.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what.
God is saying to you

Operatio: reflect"given...everything...followed”; when we think we have given up everything to serve the Lord, we forget that everything we have comes from Him; in prayer seek the grace of a grateful heart and willingly serve the Lord with our whole heart, strength, mind and being realizing that our serving the Lord is a gift itself.

Tomorrow' s reading: Mt 6.1-6, 16-18
