3.08.14

Lectio:  Lk 5.27-32
Meditatio: ”I [Jesus] have not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners.” Lk 5.32

Oratio: O God, How gracious You are to us who are sinners!

I remember Jesus made it clear that He came for us, sinners,  to call us to repentance and not the righteous who have not need to repent. How merciful for us!

Grant that I may use this Lent to turn away from sin and believe in the Gospel for that is Jesus’s desire for all of us.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what.
God is saying to you

Operatio: reflect"righteous...sinners”; the righteous are those who already follow the ways of God while the sinners are those who follow their own ways; Jesus came to the latter for they are the ones who need to repent and believe in the Good News.

Tomorrow' s reading: Mt 4.1-11
