3.24.14

Lectio:   Lk 1.26-38

Meditatio: "Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus.” Lk 1.31

Oratio: "O God, how wonderful are Your ways!

I remember You sent the Angel Gabriel to announce to Mary Your plans for the birth of Your Son so that He could enter into human history; and You brought about His conception in her womb by the Power of the Spirit. How marvelous! How great for us! In prayer seek the grace of great gratitude for Jesus breaking into our history in such a personal and life giving way.

I  ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what.
God is saying to you

Operatio: “conceive...your womb...a son”; the announcement of God’s plans for Jesus birth and which was made possible by Mary’s fiat. In prayer seek the grace to always do the will of the Father no matter how taxing it may be at the moment for it is His will and not mine that life is best lived and best gives Him the praise and honor He deserves.

Tomorrow's reading: Mt 5.17-19
