3.17.14
Lectio: Mt 23.1-12
Meditatio: "The greatest among you must be your servant.” Mt 23.11
Oratio: O God, You know we seek to achieve greatness and You made it very easy for all to become great.
I remember Your Son declared that if we serve others, we are the greatest and all can and should serve others.
Grant that I may use the time, talent and treasure I ha ve to serve those whose lives I touch by being a good steward of my gifts. If I do, I will receive the recognition that counts - Yours.
I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what.
God is saying to you
Operatio: "greatest...your servant”; the secret for true success lies in serving the needs of others; in prayer seek the grace to use your gifts and your talents to help others and to refrain from hoarding them for yourself; God will give you the greatest reward - eternal life with Him.
Tomorrow's reading: Lk 2.41-51a
