9.24.14

Lectio: Lk 9.7-9                            

Meditatio: "But Herod said, ‘John I beheaded. Who then is this about I hear such things.?’ And he kept trying to see him.” Lk 9.9                                                       

Oratio: O God, You want us to seek You and You give us ample occasions to draw us to you.

I remember Jesus had performed many miracles and was peaching with authority and King Herod heard of all these  things about Jesus and Herod  was attracted by them but sadly he did nothing to approach Jesus. In prayer seek the grace to respond to the Lord and seek the grace to put His words into practice.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: "who...is.this”; we know the answer and Herod rejected the opportunity to know Jesus and believe in Him. In prayer seek the grace to be ever open to the many ways the God manifests Himself and I will be richly blest by responding to Him
