6/08/13:  Lk 7.11-17               

Meditatio: "He [Jesus] stepped forward and touched the coffin; at this the coffin bearers halted, and he said, " Young man, I tell you, arise! Lk 7:14

Oratio: "O God, You made it so clear that Jesus was to believed. I remember He performed many miracles during His public ministry but none as awesome as raising the son of the widow of Nain from the dead in front of two large crowds!

Grant that we may always be grateful for the signs that we were given that Jesus was from You and we are to listen to Him and follow His teachings

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio:  " reflect on"young man...arise!" ; Jesus command to the dead man; and the dead son of the widow of Nain had his life restored; how powerful are Jesus' words! In prayer thank Jesus for making it so evident that we should believe in Him, and put His words into practice by living in accord with the great law of love.
