 Lectio: Jn 18,1-19.42

Meditatio: “When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, ‘Woman, behold your son.’ Then he said to his disciple, ‘Behold your mother.’ And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.” Jn 19.26,27

Oratio: O God, Your love for us is amazing!

I remember Jesus in the final moments of His crucifixion did not think of Himself but only of His mother and of us. He gave her to John and through John to be our mother through grace. What a blessing for us! In prayer thank Mary for being our Mother and always be mindful of her in how we act.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying.

Operatio: reflect, "woman behold...son” Jesus gave His mother to John and through John to all of us How wonderful and what a blessing! Seek the grace to live a life that is pleasing to our Mother and that will be most pleasing to Jesus.

 Tomorrow's reading: Mk 16.1-7

P.S. I have been on vacation for the past week so that is why there is a gap in the lectio.
