4.13.15

 Lectio:  Jn 3.7b-15

Meditatio: "And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.” Jn 3.14,15

Oratio: O God, You have shown us the path to Your kingdom,

I remember Jesus told Nicodemus that He would be lifted up - that is crucified; and that all who believe in Him would have eternal life. In prayer thank Jesus for giving His life for us so that we may have live everlasting.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying.

Operatio:  reflect: Son....lifted up”; Jesus used the reference to Moses’ use of the bronze serpent in the desert to heal those bitten by deadly snake bites as the manner in which He would save us from the deadly effects of sins. Seek the grace to believe and to ever in rejoice in the gift of faith in Jesus- a priceless gift; a gift of eternal life.                               .
