Lectio: Lk 24.13-35
Meditatio: “And it happened that, while he was with them at table, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he vanished from their sight.” Lk 24.30,31
Oratio: O God, You wonderfully have made it possible to see the Risen Lord here on earth.
I remember Jesus made His presence known to the two disciples on went to Emmaus that first Easter Sunday in the breaking of the bread at table. In prayer thank Jesus for allowing us to recognize Him every day in the Eucharist in which the breaking of the bread occurs
I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying.
Operatio: reflect, "bread....blessing...broke...gave...recognized him”; the breaking of the bread occurs at every Mass during the Eucharistic sacrifice. Seek the grace to always recognize Jesus in the Eucharist for He is present in a real, personal and loving way to us for this is our sacramental faith.
Tomorrow’s reading: Lk 24.35-48
