4.06.15

 Lectio:Jn 20.11-18

Meditatio: “Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, why are you weeping?. Whom are you looking for?’ She thought he was the gardener and said to him. ‘Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you laid him, and I will take him’.” Jn 20.15

Oratio: O God, the Risen Jesus was markedly different.

I remember Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene at the tomb but she did not recognize Him and thought Him to be a gardener. Pray to recognize Christ in the other for that is how He was present of Mary Magdalene and that is how he is present to us, today.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying.

Operatio: reflect, "Jesus...why...weeping...gardener....tell me”; Mary Magdalene was only able to recognize Jesus when He spoke to her. Seek the grace to listen to others and you may be surprised that on some occasion (s) you may hear Jesus talk to you through them.

Tomorrow’s reading: Lk 24.13-35
