4.15.15 & 4.16.15

4.15.15

 Lectio: Jn 3.31-36

Meditatio: "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him." Jn 3.35-36

Oratio: O God, what power You gave to Your Son and how You love Him and us.

I remember the evangelist John records that all who believe in Your Son has eternal life-the gift of faith begets a great boon - eternal life all because You love Your Sin and He loves us. Pray and thank God for loving us so.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying.

Operatio:  reflect:"believes...Son...eternal life"; what a gift that the gift of faith begets - eternal life with the Trinity and our loved ones.  Seek the grace of a strong faith - a faith we put into practice so that the love we enjoy because of our faith may be enjoyed by others who do not yet know of The Lord.

 Tomorrow's reading: Jn 6.1-15

 4.16.15

 Lectio: Jn 6.1-15

Meditatio: "Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed them to those who were reclining, and as much of the fish as they wanted." Jn 6.11

Oratio: O God, how Your Son loves us.

I remember that when Jesus sW the crowd of 5000 not counting women and children and knowing they were hungry, He fed them by multiplying five loaves and two fish.  He would feed us throughout the ages with His very self in the Eucharist. Pray that all when come to know and believe in The Lord so that His mission may be completed and all will have His life within them.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what God is saying.

Operatio:  reflect:"Jesus...took...distributed...fish...wanted"; Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes which was a foreshadowing of the Eucharist.  Seek the grace to accept the food He offers us daily so that we may have true life within us.

 Tomorrow's reading: Jn 6.16-31
