2.05.14

 Lectio: Mk 6.7-13

Meditatio: ”So they [the Twelve] wen off and preached repentance. They drove out many demons, and they anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.” Mk 6. 12,13

Oratio: O God! You made it very easy for those who were the first to hear the Good News.

I remember Jesus sent out the Twelve and gave them the charge not only to preach but also the ability to cure those who were sick as a sign of their authority and many were cured and many believed.

Grant that we may always realize the debt we owe to those who first accepted the Good News and allow the practice of called for by the Good News be our guiding principle and we will be cured of the deadly sickness - life without God.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what.
God is saying to you

Operatio: reflect:  "Preached...cured"; Jesus charge to the Apostles was to preach and He gave them the power to cure as a sign to the people that their words should be accepted. Let us seek the grace to carry out our Baptismal duty and spread the Good News and be a source of comfort to those whose lives we touch.

Tomorrow’s reading: Mk 6.14-29
