2.09.14

 Lectio: Mk 6.53-56

Meditatio: ”Whatever villages or towns or countryside he [Jesus] entered, they laid their sick in the marketplace and begged him that they might touch only the tassel of his cloak; and as many as touched it were healed.”  Mk 6.56

Oratio: O God! What power Your Son displayed in  the town of Gennesaret!
I remember that every place to which Jesus visited, the people brought their sick to their marketplace and Jesus healed them and He allowed many to simply touch the tassel of His cloak to tap into His healing power.

Grant that we may be ever mindful of the great miracle He works for all of us today, resurrected life. In prayer seek the grace to live in accord with the Good News so that we may  enjoy the miracle of resurrected life in the heavenly kingdom for that is the destiny and the reason we are given the miracle of victory over death.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what.
God is saying to you

Operatio: reflect: “sick...touch...healed”; touching Jesus’ tassel on His cloak was sufficient for a persons to receive His healing. What power in a touch!  May we always remember that Jesus wishes to touch all of us with His love and He has given us the greatest gift of the Eucharist -His very self -  to make it possible every day.
