9.10.12
Lectio: 1 Cor 6.1-11
Meditatio: "Can it be that there is not one among you wise enough to be able to settle a case between brothers? 1 Cor 6.5b
Oratio: " O God, You want Your children to live with fraternal charity towards one and another.
I remember Paul made this clear to the Corinthians when he told them to stop going to court to settle disputes with each other but settle disputes in house.
Grant that I may love with fraternal charity my brothers and sisters in the Lord and always act with charity towards them.
I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Reflect on "settle”; resolve, conclude’ in prayer ask for the grace to always resolve dispute amicably and to be willing to give the other the benefit of the doubt.
Tomorrow's reading: 1 Cor 7.25-31
