9.16.12
Lectio: 1 Cor 11.17-26, 33
Meditatio: "In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant of my blood. Do this, as often as you drink of it, in remembrance of me’.”
1 Cor 11.25
Oratio: " O God, how wonderfully You have provided for us on our journey to You!
I remember Your Son gave us the Eucharist in which He, Himself, would be present, to sustain us on our journey to You- wow! What a gift!
Grant that I may always be thankful for inspiring Paul to put down in writing the institution narrative of the Eucharist so that our faith in this wonderful mystery would be confirmed.
I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Reflect on "remembrance”; to make present a past event; in prayer thank Jesus for being with us in a real, personal and loving way every time we receive the Eucharist for our good and for the good of all for whom we pray.
Tomorrow's reading: 1 Cor 12.12-14,27-31a
