9.12.12 Lectio: 1 Cor 8.1b-7, 11-13 Meditatio: "yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom all things are and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and through whom we exist.” 1 Cor 8.6 Oratio: " O God, You are the ultimate source of all creation . I remember Paul told the Corinthians very clearly that all things are from You and for You and that Your Son brought them into existence. Grant that I may always realize that Your Son brought all creation into existence as Your gift to us to be used rightly in our journey back to You. I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes. Operatio: Reflect on "whom we exist”; refers to God, the Father; the Father through Jesus is the source of all being; in prayer ask for the grace to be always grateful for the gift of creation and use it so that in all our acts will directly or indirectly give praise and honor to God. Tomorrow's reading: 1 Cor Nm 21.4b-9
