9.15.12 Lectio: Heb 5.7-9 Meditatio: "and when he [Jesus] became perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation.” Heb 5.9 Oratio: " O God, without You we are nothing - but You desire only good for us. I remember Paul told the Hebrews that Your Son is the source of salvation for who obey Him - what a gift! Grant that I may always obey Your Son so as to have eternal life with You. I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes. Operatio: Reflect on "obey”; submit; voluntary is best; in prayer thank God for sending His Son so that we might have eternal life and for the grace to always submit my will to His.
