9.20.12
Lectio: Eph 4.1-7, 11-13
Meditatio: "one Lord, one faith, one baptism.” Eph 4.5
Oratio: " O God, You made it clear for us what You want us to believe and how to live.
I remember Paul wrote to the Ephesians that there is one faith, that baptism is essential and there is but one God - You.
Grant that I may hold to the truths You revealed to us for my salvation and for the salvation of those whose lives I touch.
I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.
Operatio: Reflect on "one," single; not plural; in prayer thank God for revealing His unity and how to relate to Him; and in prayer ask for the grace of faith that His Son has revealed to us and to live that faith as Your child through baptism.
Tomorrow's reading: 1 Cor 15.33-37,42-49
