4.21.14

Lectio: Jn 20.11-18
Meditatio: “Jesus said to her,’Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?”  She thought it was the gardener and said to him, ‘Sir, if you carried him away, tell me where you laid him, and I will take him’.” Jn 20.15

Oratio: "O God, life is changed not ended at the time of our natural death and it is so marvelous for us!

I remember Mary Magdala did not recognize the risen Jesus that first Easter morning and thought He was a gardener - and she only recognized Him when He spoke - showing very clearly that resurrected life brings about change in appearance but not in the person - mysterious but so glorious! May He always continue to manifest Himself in the many ways for our good and for the good of our souls.

I  ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what.
God is saying to you

Operatio: “whom...looking...gardener... tell...laid”; the resurrected Jesus was so changed in appearance that Mary Magdala did not recognize Him by His appearance but only when He spoke to her. In prayer thank Jesus for revealing Himself to Mary Magdala and then to his many disciples so that the glorious news of the resurrection would always be pari of our faith and our hope.

Tomorrow's reading: Lk 24.13-35
