6.16.14

Lectio: Mt 5. 43-48

Meditatio: “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies.” Mt 5.43- 44a

Oratio: O God, You know that love is THE way for your children.

I remember You Son told His disciples that love extends to our enemies as well as to our neighbors. What a standard He set for us! But that is how You are and how You want us to be. In prayer seek the grace to be a person of love to all for that is how You want us to act as Your children and we so much want to please You.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: "love...enemies”; what a challenge; what a world it would be if all would do as the Father wants us to do! In prayer seek the grace to love all regardless how we are treated by them for that is Your way and must be our way, too.

 Tomorrow’s reading: Mt 6.1-6,16-18
