6.20.14

 Lectio: Mt 6.24-34

Meditatio: “Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life span?....Do not worry about tomorrow, tomorrow will take care of itself.” Mt 6.27, 43a

Oratio: O God, You know how hard it is for us to trust in You, yet You are all we really have.

I remember Jesus told His followers not to worry for it adds nothing for them and He urged all to let go of their worrying and place their trust in His Father, who knows their needs and who alone can fully respond to them. In prayer seek the grace to truly say with firm belief, the words St. Faustina gave us, ‘Jesus, I trust in you.’ and then live that prayer.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what
God is saying to you.

Operatio: reflect: "worrying,... Do not”; Jesus gives us sound advice - worry does us no good; trust in His Father is what is needed. In prayer seek to serve God and always keep Him first in your life and then work as everything depends upon you and pray as everything depends upon God and you will live rightly.
