Lectio: Jn 6.1-15

Meditatio: "When the people saw the sign he had done, they said, ‘This is truly the Prophet, the one who is to come’." Jn 6.14

Oratio: "O God, How contrary we are at times!

I remember the religious elite saw the same miracles that Your Son performed but that only the people saw them as signs that He is the Prophet to come - how sad for the leaders1

Grant that I my pride may never get in the way of recognizing You in others.

I ask these and all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with the

Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: Keep silence and remain in recollection for a few minutes.

Operatio: Reflect on "the Prophet"; the One foretold by Moses; the Messiah; the One who was to be the Savior and of the House of David; Jesus. In prayer ask for the grace to always remember the parable of the goats and the sheep and remember that Jesus is present in all.
