1.12.14

Lectio: Mt 1.14-20

Meditatio: “This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mk 1.15

Oratio: O God, You so much wanted us to come back to You.

I remember You sent Your Son to call us back to Your kingdom and only imposed two conditions - repent and believe!

Grant that whenever I sin, that I immediately turn back to You and seek Your forgiveness and may I always have the grace of a strong and lasting faith in the Good News and reflect it in the life I live.

I ask this and all things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Contemplatio: spend some time in silence and meditate on the selected passage and hear what.
God is saying to you.

Operatio: Reflect: "repent....believe"; Jesus gave us His Father’s message as to how to return to heaven; namely; turn back to Him with a contrite heart and believe in His overall message. In prayer seek the grace to always have a contrite heart and to evidence my belief in the gospel by living in accord with the great Law of Love which is at the heart of the Good News so that others will be attracted to it and learning of it, become followers of Jesus and find their way back to kingdom.

Tomorrow's reading: Mk 1.21-28
